In the United States, Black and Latinx adults have less opportunities to enter into and thrive in the workforce. Black adults are 5.9x more likely to be incarcerated than their white counterparts, and Latinx adults are 3.1x more likely. Similarly, when employers require a four-year degree, they exclude 68% of Black and 79% of Latinx candidates, leading companies to miss out on a key talent pool.

In our third Sourcing & Hiring Institute cohort, we will work with employers focused on growing their talent pipelines by tapping into untapped talent pools in their communities. This interactive lab will combine Cara’s expertise moving overlooked talent into 11,600+ jobs with peer-to-peer learning with other companies. Join us to learn tactical steps you can take to attract, hire, a cultivate a more diverse workforce.

Through this cohort, you will learn how to:

by discovering how they can better define and market open roles to attract a wider talent pool

REDUCE BARRIERS FOR CANDIDATES
by learning how different hiring requirements prevent overlooked talent from being hired

MITIGATE BIAS IN HIRING
through screening and interviewing techniques to ensure that diverse candidates can succeed

WORKSHOP NEW PRACTICES
by learning what is working for other employers and brainstorming ideas with their peers

This institute will walk participants through a guided process to identify their greatest opportunities to attract and hire talent more inclusively. Participants will leave with a set of actionable strategies and a plan to deploy them in their organizations.

As part of this process, organizations should be prepared to assess key hiring data points and related hiring practices to help focus their actions.

Who should attend?

Our Sourcing and Hiring Institute is best suited for firms that have at least one entry level role that does not require pre-existing industry specialization. We require a minimum of two people per company, maximum of four. To maximize the experience, we strongly recommend senior HR leader and business leader attend. Other attendees may include talent acquisition specialists, hiring managers, or members specifically focused on strengthening the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
