“One of the greatest challenges I have is getting out of my comfort zone. I am a quiet person.
“When I first came to Cara, I was taken aback when I saw Motivations. It was a totally different experience and the shy, quiet side of me was scared.
“However, Motivations was great because going into the circle pushed me to develop my public speaking skills. My fear of putting myself out there has been the hardest thing for me, but I’m doing it.
“Usually, I am the person who waits until someone talks to me. Now, I am going up to people I don’t usually sit by or don’t get a chance to talk to very much here at Cara.
“I am amplifying my voice to step out of my comfort zone.
“People in my class have told me that I have changed since first coming to Transformations. I think I have changed too. I am more open, talkative, and confident.
“The greatest lesson I’ve learned is to take risks and have no fear. I am looking at both for profit and nonprofit opportunities. I have worked in the nonprofit fundraising field before and enjoy helping people. I want to make an impact on somebody or something.
“I would like to find administrative, associate, or coordinator positions. I am keeping my options open.
“Something I would tell someone interested in Cara is that it is a great experience, and you are going to learn a lot about yourself that you didn’t know. It is going to challenge you, but you will see that all the work pays off.”
