WEBINAR

    Transcending the Digital Divide

    WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

Join us for a Virtual Conversation on the Future of Digital Workforce Training

In Conversation with:

Mariel Corona, Staffing Site Manager at Cara Connects
Julie Chiu, Quality & Standards Manager at Cara Collective
Roxana Pereira, Financial Coach at Northwest Side Housing Center
Cindy Santana, Resilience Coordinator at Northwest Side Housing Center

During the past 16 months, we’ve seen the world turn upside down amidst a pandemic, and we’ve also seen the power of partnership take on a new meaning. In fall of 2019, Cara Connects – Cara Collective’s mission-driven staffing firm – and Northwest Side Housing Center partnered to launch “Adelante: Moving Forward in the Digital Workforce,” a workforce development cohort designed to help adult job seekers gain the necessary basic digital literacy skills to competitively enter the workforce.

Join us for a live virtual conversation to learn how they integrated digital literacy (Microsoft Office and Google Suite) and financial literacy with workplace competency activities and health and resiliency workshops into a fully remote, digital eight-week cohort. During this panel-led discussion, we’ll explore the journey and elements it takes to build a healthy, aligned partnership, and learn how Adelante has revolutionized the future of specialized skills training to set up job seekers for real and lasting success.
