Our CD One Clothing Drive is Back!

NOTE: Our 2026 CD One Clothing Drive has ended. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Click here to learn more about making an individual clothing donation to Cara Collective.
CD One Price Cleaners is once again teaming up with The U and MeTV-FM for its annual clothing drive benefiting Chicago workforce development nonprofit Cara Collective—and this year’s effort promises to make an even bigger impact. From Monday, March 16 through Saturday, March 28, Chicagoland residents are invited to donate gently used business professional and business casual attire at any CD One Price Cleaners location.
Cara Collective serves more than 1,000 job seekers annually, and, as part of the wraparound supports provided, professional clothing is provided to everyone free of charge. For many job seekers, access to professional attire isn’t just about clothing—it’s about confidence, dignity, and the belief that they belong in the career opportunities ahead of them.
“Professional attire can be the final—and often missing—piece that helps a job seeker walk into an interview with confidence,” said Kim Massenburg, Chief Impact Officer of Cara Collective. ”By donating to this drive, community members directly support our job seekers by ensuring they feel a sense of pride and preparedness as they work towards finding gainful employment. We are so grateful to everyone who contributes.”
Items such as button-down shirts, blouses, dresses, jackets, pants, pantsuits, blazers, and skirts are greatly appreciated. Every donated piece will be professionally cleaned, pressed, and delivered directly to Cara Collective, where it will help job seekers make a strong first impression as they pursue meaningful, lasting employment.
“Our customers love donating to support the Cara Collective as they understand that they are helping to provide Chicagoans with the self-confidence to succeed in their careers,” said Jonathon Reckles, Vice President of Marketing for CD One Price Cleaners. “We are honored to be bringing this partnership into our 13th year.”
Last year’s drive collected more than 4,000 pieces of clothing in less than two weeks. All CD One Price Cleaners stores across Chicagoland are participating. Click here to find a store near you.
