Eradicating Poverty in Chicago’s Northwest Communities
In 2016, our Cara Connects team wondered how we could expand our reach to Chicago’s northwest side communities. We explored the possibility of opening up another campus on the northwest side, but apart from potential financial obstacles, we weren’t sure that would be a clear pathway to success because our imprint in that part of the city was not as strong as it is today.
But what if there was a way Cara Connects, as a mission-driven staffing firm, could go out into neighborhoods; partner with an existing, trusted community organization; and present all of the services that Cara Collective has to offer? This Labor Day, we want to highlight the very community organization who made that possible, our co-location partner, Northwest Center. Together, we help job seekers in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood get back to work and transform their lives.
