Why I Champion Cara: Tim Loeffler

Meet Tim Loeffler, Staffing Specialist with Cara Connects. We spoke with Tim to find out why he chooses to champion Cara and our motivated job seekers this #GivingTuesday.

How did you originally become connected to Cara Collective?

Originally, I heard about Cara Collective through family and friends, and immediately wanted to learn more and how I can be a part of the organization. Coming to Cara was a major career shift for me after 14 years in college athletics as Swim Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. With the position I have now at Cara Connects, I am able to use my coaching skills with the participants as we help them find temporary work and build the workforce skills needed for future permanent careers.

How has Cara inspired you to grow?

“My time at Cara Collective hasn’t just been about a career shift in my life, but finding more meaningful ways to pursue my passion in helping others with my skills and work. It is really twofold: seeing life-changing moments for our participants every day, and our Cara staff that has a relentless commitment to the Cara Collective process.”

What is your favorite Cara memory?

“The first time I got to see someone ring the bell at morning Motivations. To see them smile, dance, and feel the joy in the room…I still get goosebumps.”

Who or what inspired you give 100% this year?

“The future participants of Cara Collective are what have inspired be to give 100% this year. The more support we can receive as an organization, the more lives our mission can reach.”

This season, your support of Cara Collective is critical to transforming the lives of our motivated job seekers. Please consider making a financial gift this #GivingTuesday or become a Cara Champion and help raise dollars and awareness with your friends and family.
